1. About us
Harbor Lane Books is an independent bookshop. Contact: 214 Chapel Street, South Yarra VIC 3141, Australia; [email protected]; +61 3 5550 2148.
2. Website content
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, including opening hours, event details, and product descriptions. Content may change without notice. Images and text on this site are for general information and may not reflect exact stock at any moment.
3. Orders and subscriptions
Enquiries submitted through forms are requests, not binding contracts until we confirm. Prices for subscriptions and books are as agreed at the time of confirmation. Shipping within Australia is arranged as described when you order. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you with alternatives or a refund option.
4. Events
Event listings may change due to speaker availability or capacity. Where a paid ticket applies, our confirmation email sets out cancellation details. We are not responsible for personal travel costs if an event is rescheduled.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape content at scale without permission, or submit false or harmful information through forms.
6. Intellectual property
Site design, branding, and original copy belong to Harbor Lane Books or our licensors. You may view and print pages for personal use. You may not copy or republish substantial content for commercial purposes without written consent. Book covers and titles remain the property of their respective rights holders.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of resupply, where that limitation is allowed.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
